  • The Founding

Charles J. Wamser founded Sheet Metal Products, Inc. with two associates in a rented Milwaukee garage. Signs were made one at a time.

  • 1930s

Early 30s – As prohibition faded into history, a booming demand for beer signs arose. This led to a significant production increase, not to mention the start of what was to become a long-standing relationship with the brewing industry.

Neon lighting was being introduced. Sheet Metal Products installed the very first neon sign in Milwaukee.

1935 – Sheet Metal Products appropriately changed its name to Everbrite Electric Signs, Inc., quickly driving toward becoming a national leader in the illuminated sign industry.

  • 1940s

World War II brought on the prohibition of metal usage in manufacturing, as it was considered critical to the war effort. Everbrite switched to non-metal material such as composite wood to continue production.

  • 1950s

Charles Wamser stepped down from leadership, leaving the management of Everbrite to his family. They continue to lead the business today.

  • 1960s

In 1963, Everbrite moved to South Milwaukee, WI. South Milwaukee was our company headquarters for over 20 years until we moved to our current location in Greenfield, WI.

  • 1970s

With the acquisition of numerous outdoor and neon sign companies, Everbrite continued to grow.

  • 1980s

In the late 80s, Everbrite moved the corporate headquarters to its current site in Greenfield, WI.

  • 1990s

Everbrite grew, once again, with the acquisition of an electronic component manufacturing company that greatly expanded the company product menu.

To encompass the wide range of capabilities offered, the company name was officially changed to Everbrite, Inc.

Late 1990’s – Everbrite continued to expand with the opening of a manufacturing plant in Elkhorn, WI, dedicated to the production of silkscreen and OEM products. It was another step toward better efficiency, as many specialty materials and products for other Everbrite items could now be produced in house.

  • 2000s

Jan 2003 – Everbrite, Inc. became Everbrite, LLC.

Spring 2005 – Everbrite added a location in Shenzhen, China to broaden capabilities, including injection molding, assembly, and decoration application.
