Dunkin’ Donuts commissioned Everbrite to incorporate the company’s new image with its outdoor signage. Dunkin’ Donuts required reducing costs up front, as well as reducing lead-times, while maintaining brand integrity. In addition, Dunkin’ Donuts was interested in incorporating green initiatives into the newly launched sign program.
Everbrite presented Dunkin’ Donuts with several design concepts, utilizing 3D modeling software. Dunkin’ Donuts selected the "cloud sign" design. The cloud concept provided the high-end individual channel letter look while reducing product costs by 40% and installation costs by over 50%. Further, after analysis of maintenance, energy consumption and installation costs, it was determined that neon should be eliminated from Dunkin’ Donuts’ outdoor sign program. As an alternative, Everbrite offered either fluorescent or LED options. The LED option’s payback is 2-3 years, depending upon the size of sign, when factoring in maintenance, energy consumption, and installation. As a result, we launched the new image sign program incorporating a green cost effective option with a lead-time of 10 business days.
